Environmental Health and Safety Policy

   Technical Materials, Inc. believes that no aspect of operations is of greater importance than the protection of the environment and the health and safety of our employees. This organization's policy is therefore to provide and maintain the most effective environmental control procedures, to follow all applicable legal requirements and to do everything feasible to protect the environment.

   We are committed to the effective use of resources, and strive to conserve resources primarily through pollution prevention programs. If waste is generated every attempt shall be made to reuse/recycle the material or reduce its volume and toxicity. Air emissions shall be properly controlled for the protection of the environment and the community. Water shall be conscientiously used to minimize discharges. Whenever possible, the least harmful chemical and process shall be used.

   TMI is committed to be prepared to respond to emergencies which may result in harm to our employees, customers, the general public, and the environment. We strive to minimize the potential for harm resulting from fire, explosion, chemical release and natural disasters. We shall continue to evaluate risks of new and existing equipment and systems.

   We will strive to comply with all existing regulatory requirements pertaining to the Environment, Health and Safety of our employees. In addition, where necessary we will develop more stringent measures to protect the health, assure the safety of our employees and protection of the environment.

   We will strive to continually improve all aspects of Health, Safety and Environmental Protection by:

  • Identifying areas of opportunity for improvement of the environmental management system which lead to improved environmental performance
  • Determine root cause of nonconformance or deficiencies
  • Make comparison with objectives and targets
  • Verify the effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions
  • Document any changes in procedure resulting from process improvements

   This policy applies to all TMI Operations and shall be communicated to all employees.
